VISION A Gainesville Jewish Community with support systems for those lacking needed access to health care and social services.

MISSION -  To be a team of dedicated Jewish health care professionals who seek to strengthen the bond among themselves, the  Community and Israel through philanthropic, social and political action, and educational initiatives.

To serve as a resource and provide leadership to the Jewish community in health related areas, especially where unmet needs exist.

To create and maintain this integral component of the JCNCF and thus, the local Jewish Federation.

To work with local professionals and volunteers to accomplish our goals.

To show our dedicated and caring nature as health care providers with high moral and ethical standards who embrace and contribute to conceptual ideas that continue our efforts toward improving the quality of life for members of our community.

GOALS 

*  Become a society inclusive of all Jewish health care professionals,

*  Serve as a forum for health care issues from a Jewish perspective and as a resource for the Jewish and general communities,

*  Serve as a welcoming committee for Jewish health care professionals who are new to the community,

*  Strengthen health care provider awareness of, and support for, the elderly and               disabled within the Jewish community,

*  Offer volunteer health-related services to the financially needy within the Jewish               Community,

*  Assess the social, psychological, spiritual and health needs of our elderly  and            disabled, and establish a program to address these needs,

*  Be advocates for the elderly and their needs,

*  Be a resource and support system for the families of Jewish elderly and for Jewish          residents of local congregate living facilities and skilled care facilities,

*  Create and support projects involving interaction of Jewish youth with the elderly,

*  Create support groups for families and individuals who have health care issues,

*  Foster community awareness through exposure in traditional media venues and by            having an Internet presence,

*  Establish a Society directory, accessible to the public.
