GOALS
* Become a society inclusive of all Jewish health care professionals,
*
Serve as a forum for health care issues from a Jewish perspective and as a
resource for the Jewish and general communities,
*
Serve as a welcoming committee for Jewish health care professionals who are new
to the community,
* Strengthen health care provider awareness of, and support for, the elderly and disabled within the Jewish community,
*
Offer volunteer health-related services to the financially needy within the
Jewish
Community,
*
Assess the social, psychological, spiritual and health needs of our elderly
and
disabled, and
establish a program to address these needs,
*
Be advocates for the elderly and their needs,
*
Be a resource and support system for the families of Jewish elderly and for
Jewish
residents of local congregate living facilities and skilled care
facilities,
* Create and support projects involving interaction of Jewish youth with the elderly,
*
Create support groups for families and individuals who have health care issues,
* Foster community awareness through exposure in traditional media venues and by having an Internet presence,
* Establish a Society directory, accessible to the public.
